waso

waso refers to creatures that can fly in the air. Bats and most birds are waso.

Some speakers will use waso to describe flightless birds like kiwis and emus, but it’s also common to use soweli to refer to these animals. Kiwis are interesting because they have the shape of a prototypical waso but aren’t able to fly.

waso is also often used to describe airplanes and the act of flying.

Some speakers will extend this meaning to other things that travel through the air like frisbees.
